The SLAT tool is a hand-bur multi-functional safety tool which serves both A1 premium and standard Quick-Switch handles. It functions as both a collar-lock tightener (CLT) and bur security tester. It serves as a collar lock tightener (CLT) for QS standard handles as well as an instant chairside pull test for maximum bur security assessment. Only one SLAT tool is needed per clinician since it is only used on uncontaminated instruments prior to clinical use.
